Love the fajita! I drive 1 hr and 20 minutes for the meat. I will not grill unless I purchase the meat here. So tendered and delicious!
The place is 10/10! My favorites are the empanadas and all the international snacks they have! Also the first time I tried barbacoa was from them and I can assure you, it was really good 🤩 definitely coming back every time I can! 🙌🏼 The service was also great and whenever I had a questions about any of the breads there was always someone willing to explain it to me how it was made or what was made of. I would recommend it to all my friends and family!
Very great food but they never open up on time in the morning. It is 6:36 AM right now and still not open. Their hours are 6 AM - 9 PM. I started coming late when I noticed they never opened on time but this is really late. I can see the staff from meat market here but the lady that opens up the store is not here yet.
Update: They opened at 7:01 AM and there were other customers waiting besides me.
Love this market. When I moved to Texas it was hard for me to find my oxtails, pigtails etc. the meat we use often in Caribbean culture but they have it. They also sell things like dried sorrel, scotch bonnet etc. Sundays mornings are extremely busy bc they sell cooked food but other than Sundays there isn't usually a wait!
I continually return to Alameda Meat Market for the Best Barbacoa, and their Marinated Fajitas, & Marinated Beef Ribs. This is a Family Owned Business, run by a Father & Son Team, Thanks Don Miguel, & Rafael for your commitment to providing the best quality and service. The Barbacoa is a must try! So delicious. Tasty tender and juicy meat, perfect for tacos and their homemade salsa. 100% recommended. The people who work here are very nice and attentive.
Went to buy 2 tortas. Notice they put a lot of lettuce, meat, sour cream and that’s it. I ask the lady if tortas have avocado, she said NO. I think since there us a lot of same business around at least they should do better with the food. The price was not cheap.
Went to buy a caldo de menudo and I was really bad it was old and taste was horrible. Went back to return it and ask for my money but the owner didn’t want to give me a refund. I would not recommend this place to everyone.
